Jeanie Marie Buss was born in America. She is the owner and director of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and grew up part of a rich family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon and later proprietor of Lakers and other enterprises. When her parents split in 1972 and she started to feel as if she was abandoned. In 1972, at age 19 she started working for the family's business. The team was later renamed the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers in 2013, she was president of the Great Western Forum. Buss inherited Lakers ownership Lakers from her father in 2013. Five siblings of hers were the inheritors through a family estate trust. She was named president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also part-owner of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
