Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a singer from Newark, New Jersey on 9th August 1963. Her parents are gospel stars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick is also a singer. As a child she was a singer in the New Hope Baptist Church choir in Newark. When she turned fifteen, Houston was singing professionally as a backing vocalist with her mother in Chaka Khan's song from 1978 Im Every Woman. After that, she began to join the backing vocals of Lou Rawls, Jermaine, and her mother. Her first gig was as a featured vocalist for the band from New York called Material and it was the quality of her work as a vocalist with them that attracted the attention of major record labels, including Arista who signed her in 1983. This is where she stayed for the rest the duration of her career. The debut Whitney Houston album was released in 1985. It became one of the top-selling album by a musician. A number of hit singles, such as the hit songs Saving All My Love For You How Will I Know You Give Good Love and The Greatest Love of All were released from the album, setting the stage for her to beat the Beatles with seven consecutive US numbers one. Album was sold out in US 3,000,000 copies before it increased to 25 million globally. It brought her first of her six Grammy Awards. Whitney, her album Whitney was released in 1987, featuring smash tracks How Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. It was The Bodyguard (1996) that made her one of the best-selling albums in pop music. Although the film and the actor's performance weren't highly praised, the soundtrack album that featured her interpretation of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was the top-selling single and album for several months. It sold over 44 million copies across the globe. When she had her daughter Bobbi, Brown married Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group. In 1996, her consumption of the drug was well-documented.
Dana Bash, also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz, is an American anchorwoman and journalist who serves as a political correspondent for CNN. In the past, she has produced shows for the network, such as Evans & Novak' Late Editionas well as Inside Politics'.
